Learning to Create the Life of Your Dreams With - BEing the Titus Concept, by Al Diaz

The world is full of self-help books that tell us we need help, and where we've messed-up our lives, and what we should do to fix them; but "BEing The Titus Concept," by Al Diaz, isn't another one of those. Having read hundreds of self-help and personal development books, I came to the conclusion that life is supposed to be simple; and so are the fixes to common, everyday problems. In fact, I didn't really realize exactly how right I was, or exactly how simple life could be, until I finished reading, "BEing The Titus Concept!"

In this book, Al Diaz adeptly guides all of us, regardless of our various levels of "spiritual maturity," or "spiritual development," into a place of deep understanding and abiding love for our Source - The Source of All Creation. With gentle reminders of the wisdom you already possess, and simple exercises to help unlock powerful, but hidden and untapped, resources within each of us, "BEing The Titus Principle" is tantamount to a "spiritual GPS" device - accelerating your progress down the path of self-discovery and self-realization.

I read this book in my spare time over the course of two-days - hardly a major investment in time - and found it easy, and even fun, to read. After reading the first fifteen-pages, I was already incorporating some of Al's principles and awareness into my own practice with The Belief Formula - amplifying what I feel is the most important variable in the process of creation: the Power of Love, Acceptance, and Gratitude. This book could have easily been named, "The Techniques of the Masters of Life," or, "The Gracefully Simple Way To Make Your Life Graceful and Simple;" because this book provides just that - simple, easy-to-understand, step-by-step guidance to understanding our power and role as co-creators of our own experience.

With the techniques, methods, and concepts contained within this book, we can all become masters of our own experience and creators of our own destinies. "BEing The Titus Concept," for that reason alone, is a definite must-read, and a powerful and valuable addition to the library of any spiritual student or aspirant!

Arnold Patent And His Wonderful Book

Most people read a book and if it's good, they might recommend it to someone else, but if the book is great, you can guarantee they will recommend it to everyone who is interested or who they think might be interested in the book. In the field of personal development, one book comes to mind, it's called, "You Can Have It All" by Arnold Patent.

I found the book in one of our antique thrift stores and paid less than $10 for it, I really didn't think much of it and never heard of Arnold Patent before. We've all heard of Anthony Robbins, Susie Orman, Wayne Dyer, but I never heard of Arnold Patent. I skimmed through the book and it looked like a short read. I read the book in about six hours and plan to reread the book, as soon as I get it back for my daughter. The book has short chapters, most of them less than five pages.

Looking at the short chapters, you could get the impression, that there isn't very much information in each chapter, how could there be with less than five pages and some chapters less than three pages. This was very deceiving to me, because each paragraph, was like a chapter and each chapter was like a small book.

The book is full of tools and advice and combines personal development with spirituality. He has chapters on meditation, energy, enjoying what you love to do for the rest of your life, cause and effect, abundance, attachment, pain and suffering, harmony, karma the past and forgiveness.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to read this book and if you're looking for some basics on quite a few motivational, spiritual and laws of attraction topics, this book has almost everything you need to get you interested in changing your life. You could actually read one chapter a day and think about it for the rest of the week, there's that much information in each chapter.

I was reading one of his recommendations and it was from Oprah Winfrey, she said, "It was one of the most important books that I had ever read." That's coming from one of the most successful people in the entertainment business. I stumbled across this book and might not have ever found it, but I'm telling you about it and highly recommend it.

What is Hypnotherapy?

We all go into a trance every day maybe reading, or watching the television, and that imaginary world can become real in your mind, in the sense that it fully engages your emotions. As you get fully engrossed in the story, your worries fade away until all you are thinking about is the story - you become highly suggestible to the positive messages the therapist is giving you.

Some clients go into trance deeply even in the first session, whilst others only experience a light trance. However for hypnosis to be effective it doesn't matter if you go into a light trance or a deeper one. It is a truly enjoyable experience.

For hypnosis to be effective, it is very important you trust the therapist you are working with, and to feel comfortable with them, you are always in charge at all times during hypnosis. If you don't feel comfortable with your practitioner you might create resistance to your own success. This is why it is important to find someone you trust.

Some people think that they will lose control whilst in hypnosis. This is not so, they remain in full control the whole time. They cannot be made to do anything against their will (unfortunately this is probably because of the misconception of stage hypnosis). No one can get stuck in hypnosis, and no one can be made to say or do anything they do not want to do.

Hypnotherapy is therapy using Hypnosis to treat many conditions including stress, anxiety, panic, phobias, smoking over-eating, binge drinking, lack of confidence, fear of examinations, irritable bowel syndrome, and sports performance. It can also help with relationship difficulties, natural birthing and much, much more.

In fact hypnotherapy is pleasant and relaxing, and it is extremely enjoyable. So unlike a visit to the dentist, a hypnotherapy session can often be something to look forward to!

Thousands of people look for hypnotherapy in Plymouth for methods to improve the quality of their life every year. Increase your chances of having a happy, healthy life by contacting Lyta Humphris, an experienced counsellor and hypnotherapist in Plymouth at the Hypnospot website.

Why Companies Need Motivation During Tough Economic Times

Companies need motivation, especially during these tougher economic times. Senior management must find ways to motivate employees in order to have their people perform at high levels. This is also true for associations and their members.

Motivation is required for any company employee at any level but is even more crucial for those in roles that have more direct consequences on revenues. An obvious example would be the company sales force. Another is customer service staff since they have direct interaction with customers. Dealing with complaining customers day in and day out can be a very demotivating. Production teams can also fall into this category because overall quality is impacted by the efforts of assembly people.

During booming economic periods, many companies made sure that there were incentive programs to help motivate employees. They were very aware that if some employees were not happy, they could easily jump ship to other companies. This was particularly true for valuable positions of high demand in the market. I've seen this type of jumping many times with top pharmaceutical sales representatives during my career and quite often, these high performers would end up with a direct competitor. Competitors love to snap up high performers much like professional sports teams do.

Some senior management might think that because we are in tougher times, the risk of losing valuable employees to competitors would be much lower. There might be a perception that most people would be happy just to have a job during times of recession and layoffs. There might be a lower emphasis to motivate employees since there probably won't be much jumping around to other companies.

However, this may not be true. The security of a job is not the only motivating factor among many employees, particularly younger ones. Even though it's true that people may stay with a company without much motivation from senior management, it doesn't mean that they will be motivated to perform their jobs at high levels. Quality will suffer as a result. This is why companies still need motivation during both good and bad times.

Of course, it is great to have inspiring company leaders and managers to motivate their staff. But messages from the same internal people over and over again can grow stale. This is why external motivational speakers can be such a plus during company meetings. External speakers can motivate company audiences in different ways and angles that employees have not been exposed to. It becomes a fresh source of motivation for the company. External motivational speakers can use examples that are not directly connected to a company's business but still make them relevant for the audience.

Having been on both sides as a motivational speaker and as an audience member, I can say that the best way for a company to motivate its staff is to bring in an external motivational speaker to address its people and then have senior management regularly reinforce those key messages made by the speaker. This will help employees keep motivated since in order to be successful, companies need to make sure that their people are motivated on a regular basis over time. Motivation is like vitamins, as we all need regular doses in order to keep performing at high levels.

Putting God On Trial

Feel the Force to Unleash the Secret Multi-dimensionally

The movie "The Secret" does not lend itself to scientific analysis, because the threefold nature mind, body, spirit is too multi-dimensional for one to be able to analyze it and look at its individual aspects.

True research into The Secret is done with conscious awareness turned back on it Self, using feelings and emotions to research the nature of consciousness it Self. The tool for researching consciousness is quiet meditation and self-awareness. The process starts by consciously relaxing the physical body; by releasing tension and fatigue in the muscles; by consciously choosing to allow them to relax.

The more subtle stage begins when you start working with your breathing, quietening the mind and connecting with your energy body. You could say this is a process of transcending your physical structure. This is the interesting thing about conscious awareness. The Self, your true nature, is non-changing; like you being the same person all your life. You are not your physical body, as that is constantly changing. You are Spirit i.e. non-physical that which cannot be described because it has no qualities.

Some words that come close to describing it would be quantum field, vacuum, void, space. You are spirit, your physical body and all the layers in-between. The physical body allows you to turn your spiritual light, which shines out of your eyes, back on it Self, so you can know yourself and all the layers of matter and energy that make up your body. You do this research into your nature through your feeling and your emotions. You use your feeling to see your energy body, after relaxing your physical being and doing the conscious breathing.

You could work on your energy body by imagining roots growing out of your feet, grounding your energy field and connecting you to the Earth. You could open the chakras of the body and see all the spinning vortices of light, as you open up all the chakras. You could connect your crown chakra to the sun and moon and all the planets of our solar system. You could connect outwards to take in the Milky Way and the Universe, and realize that what is above is also below. Your body is a hologram of the universe. You see all the lines of force multi dimensionally flowing up and down the layers of your existence. You find that you are connected to the whole universe and everything else; that all human life is part of this One energy. Nothing in the universe is separate from anything else.

You are already connected to everything you could ever want. It is you and you are it. Your friends and loved ones, and those who show up in your life in an "enemy" role they are you also. We Are All One. Conscious awareness is a process of evolution where you keep gaining knowledge about yourself. You are no longer your physical body; you see the connection to all that is, and see it all as part of your Self. You realize your awareness can move around by itself without your physical body through astral travelling, out-of-body experiences. You realize you do not need your mobiles any more, as your powers of telepathy have become so acute, thought is enough. Your perspective on life starts to shift. You are not your physical body; you are the universe and all it contains.

You lose all sense of time and space. You no longer come to Earth for 100 spins around the sun. You realize you are immortal, Eternal made of Energy that cannot be created or destroyed. You then realize YOU not 6 billon people working as individuals are creating it all as a whole. You are One Universal Life Force flowing through us all. You stop killing each other because you realize they are you and you are them. We Are All One. Everyone in the universe shifts their energy and focus to co-operation and sharing. Everyone just falls into line, pulling in the same direction in co-operation and harmony. Synchronicity is so strong and awareness so full that accidents just have no space in which to happen any more.

There is no need for armies, no need for war, no need for governments. National boundaries cease to be barriers, and supplies begin to move across them from areas of surplus to areas of lack. Life becomes aware of it Self and governs it Self with Universal Oneness. I feel the movie "The Secret" is just touching on the surface of the evolution of consciousness we are now experiencing, with integration and evolution taking place at a speed and on a scale we can only imagine. But Know, as you are Imagining, you are creating your Present (and within it the Past and Future).

Can You Imagine Living a Life in Peace

Imagine There's No Heaven, It's Easy If You Try, No Hell below Us, above Us Only Sky, Imagine All the People Living for Today. Imagine There's No Countries, It Isn't Hard to Do, Nothing to Kill or Die for, and No Religion Too. Imagine All the People Living Life in Peace. Think about It.

It's hard to imagine, with the information today and even 50 years ago that most people still believe in religions all over the world, just because they were raised to believe in them. Religions of the future will have to adapt to change, a little faster as more people read articles like mine to promote education within your religion.

Over Deliver in Your Business Or Someone Else Will

When you decide to undertake a new business or internet enterprise or if you already have a business be prepared to deliver the goods. That is over deliver. If you want to stand out amongst the countless mediocre businesses that are out there, give of yourself and share all the resources you have at your disposal. This is not only a good philosophy to adopt, but it is mandatory.

There is way too much competition and too many alternatives available in todays' marketplace to offer some run of the mill product or service and expect people to be satisfied. Others may get away with it, but that doesn't make it alright to perpetuate this practice. Make it your mission to blow your customers away with the value you offer. You may fear this will exhaust you or overwhelm you, but I can assure you the opposite is true.

Outside forces tend to come into play when they are truly necessary. If your mission is to help others and offer a business, service, or program that is of value it will get noticed, and as such others will rally behind this system and actually contribute to and multiply your efforts. You will find this reaction energizes you and inspires you to offer even more value. Also the concerted effort behind this cause will gain momentum.

So few people actually make themselves available to spend the time assisting their newly recruited clients or customers and offering them the assurance and support they need. By simply going the extra steps and taking the time to answer questions, offer training, return phone calls, return emails, and show your concern; you are fostering more trust and a stronger bond that will pay off in the long run. You're establishing long term relationships and ties that carry on.

Learn a lesson from the top businesses or noted personalities who are among us today. What are the commonalities? What qualities do they share? Above all they are givers. They blow people away. Disney World does this, Walmart does this, McDonald's does this and even Brittany Spears. All in their own way, they offer something and they don't hold back. Fan or not, this is undeniable. Walmart has teams of marketing experts seeking out name brand goods to offer at lower prices. Disney always surprises us with the latest in animation and technology. And yes, Ms. Spears may take a detour or two, but she ultimately shares her talent and is rewarded because of that.

If this sounds foreign to you or like unnecessary baloney, I would encourage you to reexamine your intent and your expectations for success. A customer can always buy from someone else or a new client can always seek a service elsewhere. Don't let them. Don't be concerned with "the how" as much as the effort. If you put forth more effort, even more than you think you possess, you will most assuredly enjoy the rewards, and in most cases more than you can gauge by a bank account.

Starting Your Own Religion

Change, Happiness, Success And Our Core Values

The saying that "change is the only constant thing in this world" holds profound meaning in every sense of the word. Backed by this universal truth is also the dictum that there is no such thing as 'forever'. However, amidst all these acclaimed universal truths, there are things in this world that stay eternal: One of them our set of core values the fundamentals that enable us to find happiness and success in our lives.

In his # 1 National Bestseller book that sold over 10 million copies, author Stephen R. Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (1990 ed.) illustrates his own personal experience on change. As a parent, he claims that to change a situation, we first have to change ourselves, and to change ourselves effectively, we first have to change our perceptions. However, Dr. Phil argues that it's more complicated than that. Illustrated in his book Life Strategies - Stop Making Excuses! Do What Works, Do What Matters (1999 ed.), he firmly wants to instill in our minds the glaring truth about change that we can not change what we do not acknowledge. In similar fashion, I totally agree on his argument. It's like saying that the hardest thing to open in this world is a closed mind - therefore making change difficult to occur.

There are some people who have a mindset to make some changes in their lives and choose to be happy. Even the great Chinese philosopher Confucius would agree in his belief that "man must be wise and unafraid to live a happy life" - a philosophy similarly shared by his contemporary, Mencius where he enumerates three mature virtues of his 'great man' as wisdom, compassion and courage deliberated in Lin Yutang's book, The Importance of Living (1962 ed.) a must-to-read book for daily living.

Likewise, Stephen R. Covey focuses the "Character Ethic" as the foundation of success things like integrity, humility, fidelity, temperance, courage, justice, patience, industry, simplicity, modesty and the Golden Rule.

In his book, he presented Benjamin Franklin's autobiography as the epitome of these values "a man's effort to integrate certain principles and habits deep within his nature", he explained. The Character Ethic, according to Covey teaches us that there are basic principles of effective living, and that people can only experience true success and enduring happiness as they learn and integrate these principles into their basic character.

In addition, Anthony Scire's dynamic and contemporary book The Power of 2 (2003 ed.) promotes building solid relationships over the long term and encouraging us to be "nice, kind and good" to everyone we know and meet. This highlights Henry James's core value of kindness:"Three things in human life are important", he said. "The first is to be kind. The second is to be kind. And the third is to be kind." In the same book, then eminent Bishop Fulton J. Sheen admonished us to also take control of our emotions so that we may live a successful and happy life. He said: "Each of us makes his own weather determines the color of the skies in the emotional universe which he inhabits."

Change therefore is inevitable in our lives. If - and when it comes, our core values should help us adapt to the consequences of change. Hence, as exemplified by great and wise men of past and present generations, our happiness and success depend upon our core values and attitudes.

Jim Jones Impact On My Life

Is the Law of Attraction Crap

The Law of Attraction is a universal principle. You can apply the law of attraction on many levels and in all aspects of your life. The law of attraction even works in the after life, but that's another subject. It is a principle that is universal and timeless. It works weather you consciously or unconsciously apply it. It works weather you consciously or unconsciously know it. It can be and has been stated and articulated in many different ways. It is a principle that Jesus Christ was teaching to his disciples.

I can hear you now, whatchu talkin' about reginaldc? Everybody knows that the law of attraction is an invention of the devil by the people that came up with the secret! How can you say our beloved Jesus was teaching the law of attraction? So how can you make such a blasphemous statement? Baloney!

This is how I can make such a blasphemous statement. The Law of Attraction states ; you will attract, into your experience, all things that vibrate in harmony with you. In other words, like energy attracts like energy.

As stated before there are many ways that this law can manifest itself in your life. It is universal. It works on any level of existence. Jesus was attempting to teach universal laws and principles. But because of how he spoke people were confused. How can I say people were confused by what Jesus taught? Let's go to the bible.

In the NIV bible John 16:25 Jesus states, "though I have been speaking to you figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will speak to you plainly about my father."

This scripture says Jesus spoke in code in many instances. He spoke figuratively and in parables. Because of this people of the day did not always understand him. There are scriptures that the disciples would ask Jesus, what do you mean? In the NIV bible John 16:18, "they kept asking, what does he mean by a little while? We don't understand what he is saying." This scripture is but one example of the disciples not understanding what Jesus meant after he made a statement. Therefore, my statement about disciples not understanding is not blasphemous, it says in the bible they did not understand.

You may be skeptical about the Law of Attraction. However, when you realized that the bible and Jesus Christ was trying to impart these same concepts you may gain another level of faith. I wanted to learn all I could because I realized that if these new age concepts were actually real they would change my life. When I realized that many of the statements that we spout these days are really universally based, I gained another level of faith. What was even more extraordinary for me was that science has proven the Law of Attraction. I can be as skeptical as anyone. However, if science, religion and spirituality all agree on the same principle then skepticism has to be blotted out.

Unfortunately too many people believe that the Law of Attraction is simply hocus pocus. Many self help books and gurus give you the words but do not take into account the underlying reasons why things are the way they are. In the bible instructions were given that people are just now beginning t understand. In the NIV bible:

Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

These directions are telling you that you must visualize the end result before you have the result. You will attract what you think about.

I love the way Wayne Dyer puts it, "you must surround yourself in the conditions in which you wish to produce."

The bible is not the ultimate dissertation on how we should live our lives. Religion wants to make the bible the ultimate choice for direction. But in many instances there are much deeper meanings behind the words. The bible does not go into detail. But you do have other resources that do go into detail. You have to fully integrate the universal laws. If you do not like how things are then you have to change. It is not simply New Age hocus pocus. The Law of Attraction is a scientific fact. You do not have to believe me, but you can now be aware that Jesus new something years ago.

The Most Popular and Effective Stuttering Therapy Treatments

There are now numerous forms of therapy available for people who have a stutter. So which of these types of stuttering treatment are the most beneficial and effective?

A recent survey has suggested that the most popular form of stuttering therapy comes in the form of specialised one-to-one speech therapy courses which are run by people who have previously had a stutter. These courses are normally held over a five-day period however there are shorter three-day and weekend speech courses available.

The fact that they are run by somebody who has previously had this form of speech impediment makes these courses more popular and effective than the more traditional forms of speech therapy. Speech therapists have not lived life with a stutter and therefore can not fully comprehend just what a struggle life can be etc.

A speech course does not suit everybody for a variety of reasons. For example a person who has a stutter may not have enough confidence to attend such a course or may not be able to afford the course fee.

Fortunately there are also a number of self-help stuttering therapy products on offer. This is where a person attempts to overcome their stutter from the comfort of their own home by following a set of stuttering cure techniques. These self-help products include a DVD, an audio book and an e-book.

In the end the survey suggests that it all depends on a person's individual circumstance but that there is normally a product to suit.

One last thing to remember; it is important that there is a continued after service on offer. These are usually offered free of charge and is where people are able to keep in regular contact with the person who is offering the stuttering therapy service, to ask any questions that may arise and to seek additional advice.

Steve Hill is a speech coach from Birmingham; he has a number of websites including: stuttering therapies

Game Of Life And How To Play

Religious Fundamentalism and the Problems it Creates

Religious groups can easily justify their actions by using religious text to benefit and promote their beliefs. The Muslims can sling quotes out of the Quran to justify their treatment towards women as second-class or even third class citizens in society, often removing certain rights from them because they weren't born men.

Shouldn't these women be treated equally. This is where religious fundamentalism evolves into religious fanaticism.

Christians can often use the same tactics to justify their beliefs and Christianity. This list goes on and on and has created hardships in the past on some people in our civilizations and will continue to do so in the future. As long as people continue to turn a blind eye to evil religious and government leaders, atrocities will take place and some of them will even be supported by those who eventually will become accused are victims of their own wrongdoings.

Does anyone remember the Ku Klux Klan? If you live in the south eastern part of the United States, there is a very good chance that you have heard of them or even know someone who belongs to this organization. The Ku Klux Klan was responsible for hanging African Americans throughout the early 1900s to prove that the white race was superior to the race of black people. Their religious beliefs fueled them with righteousness.

If this going on anywhere in the world today, may be issues about abortion or gay marriage. It seems like an oxymoron, if we allow gay people to get married, we won't have to worry about the abortion issue.

Some Christians, but most Americans look at this as a shameful part of our American heritage. It's not something that most Americans would ever support today. I would like to point something out about the Ku Klux Klan, they started out as a Christian organization and made examples out of other white people who weren't conforming to their ideal Christian society.

There are stories of people that abused their wives and the Ku Klux Klan set them straight, one way or another. If it required beating the crap out of them or killing them, something needed to be done and they are morally obligated to perform the task as Christians. These people took their Christian beliefs to an extreme.

When are we as a country and the world going to start fighting religious fundamentalism at its core and stop the atrocities that are going on today, using religion to justify their wrongdoings.

Structuring Your Time During the Day

We only have 24 hours in each day, if we're working 12 hours each day, six days a week, planning the time required to create a habit will be a little more difficult, than someone who works four hours a day three days each week.

If you're one of those overachievers and can't seem to rest or sit down for even five minutes a day. This tells me, we need to change this habit first. Most people that tell you, they just don't have any time during the day, for anything. These people usually have a lot more time than others.

Their time is normally unstructured and they often find themselves running around like a chicken with its head cut off. They are not organized or very efficient at most things that they do. Keep in mind that there are some extremely successful people that only work four hours each day and some of these people take vacations every other month.

Structuring your time will allow you the extra time you need during the day.

If you have a daytime organizer, use this to figure out, if there is any wasted time during the day. Pay strict attention to any wasted time and make a list you can evaluate at the end of the day. Do this for one week and at the end of the week evaluate your weekly activities.

If you don't have a daytime organizer, carrying around a scrap piece of paper to keep track of your daily activities. If you don't have a daytime organizer or if this is too much work for you, simply pay attention to any time you might feel, has been wasted during the day.

How to Breathe Health into Your Body Through Conscious Breathing

A look at how the breath can be used to bring balance into area of our Body and Mind.

The Breath is very powerful it has been used for centuries by Yogis to create different effects on the body and mind.

Before we start to discuss the different techniques, which can be used to balance the body. Lets look at normal breathing. It is good from time to time to make sure that you are using the full capacity of our lungs when breathing.

Lets take a few deep breaths, breathing in through the nose with the mouth closed; if this is possible for you to do comfortably. It is important to breath deeply right down into the abdomen and then to fill the chest. It is also important to breath out fully using the diaphragm to empty your lungs fully, as unless you get most of the stale air out you cannot breath in fresh air.

Even using just normal breathing like this and staying conscious of the breath, as it enters and leaves the body, can be very powerful.

To effect healing in any area of the body, stay conscious of the breath, and take your awareness to the dis-eased area; spend a few minutes with your awareness in that area being conscious of the feelings and emotions, which come up. Keep being conscious of the breath as you breathe.

The breath uses Air, one of the five elements, to connect with your source energy. The source energy comes into your body through the breath. This is sometimes referred to as Prana. When you stay conscious of your breath while breathing you get control over this prana or life force, and can direct it using your awareness, to different parts of the body to bring healing and balance into that region.

Even spending a few minutes a day doing this type of conscious breathing can make major changes in the health of your body and mind.

When major events happen in your life it is quite often a good idea to take a few deep breaths before we choose how we would like to react to that situation. It gives us time to think and quiets the mind and connects us to source energy, so that our reaction is coming from love and from our heart.

What Do Your Goals Say - Self Help Tips

Do you have goals? How to you set things in motion to accomplish your goals? What is your game plan of success? You can either focus on the results or you can focus on the activities you are doing. If you have the right steps in place, you will achieve your goal.

You should be attempting to link your daily steps to your weekly achievements and then to your monthly goals. So that your efforts are always working in your favor.

Set achievable steps - let them have a purpose to your overall goals. You don't want to fall into activity traps. Yes, you are expediting energy, but it is not helping you to reach your goals, You are busy, but to no end.

Use project management software or a system of your own design of checks and balances. You know where you are on your path to goal achievement. Be realistic and know that there will be days when you may not accomplish what you intended, but "get back on the horse" the next day.

Write your goals down and review them. That way you will know if you are making strides to achieve them. Change them where you need, if something isn't working or a new approach becomes known to you. Improve your tactics and make the necessary changes. Success is yours to carve out. Complete at least one goal step each day. Keep adding to your goals. There is always more to achieve. Keep asking yourself, "Is what I am working on leading to the my achieving my goals?" If it isn't, do not waste your time doing it! You are the Captain of Your ship of life.

Practice Hatha Yoga for Happiness

Does life feel like a carnival ride? How do we deal with lifes challenges? What do you consider happiness to be? Can Hatha Yoga really open the Gateway to Happiness? Lets look at solutions to happiness, which you can find in your Hatha Yoga practice.

Life is often compared to a carnival ride. The ups and downs of life cause us pleasure and pain. To a degree, we all need a certain amount of stress, but Hatha Yoga practice can help you gauge the amount of stress you take.

Picture stress like water: You need some water to live, but too much water can become a flood. Hatha Yoga controls stress, like a dam controls water. We want a steady flow, but not too much.

How do we deal with lifes challenges? Many people want to avoid challenges and stress, but in the proper dosage, challenges are what keep us going. Start or finish your day with Yoga, and you will face lifes daily challenges with positive energy in your heart.

What do you consider happiness to be? Is it money, possessions, power, fame, retirement, or something else? All of these things tax our spirit. The more we have, the more we want, the more we are bored, and the more there is to worry about.

Happiness cannot be bought. Look at the lives of the rich and famous, if you need proof. Happiness is a choice, and Hatha Yoga can help anyone find the path of happiness.

Can Yoga really open the gateway to happiness? Absolutely! All forms of Yoga teach meditation and Pranayama. In Hatha Yoga, these concepts sometimes become secondary to Yoga postures (Asanas). Yet, all three of these concepts combined will help you feel more cheerful - even during disappointing times.

Yoga can be practiced all day long. When you display acts of kindness, you will feel gratified in knowing you helped someone. Loving kindness is a universal Yogic concept. This is just one of many methods of Yoga off the mat.

You can practice loving kindness by giving to others. Let someone in front of you, while you are in traffic, or help someone in need. If you have no money, loving kindness does not have to be material.
Karma Yoga is selfless service; all you have to do is help or listen to someone who needs you.

Lastly, every time you give, help, or listen, it comes back. This should not be your primary motivation for helping others, but giving is always rewarded in one way or another. This is just one example of the law of cause and effect, which we also know as Karma.

How Badly Do You Really Want to Lose Weight?

What motivates you to lose that weight? Is it to finally don that skimpy and sexy swimsuit enough to be on the latest cover of Sports Illustrated? Or how about to simply wear that old blue jeans of yours you used to wear way back when you still have that enviable 25-inch waistline? Or maybe just to feel lighter inside and be more confident? Whatever the motivation, just remember that it can be done and refuse to quit. Weight loss motivation is definitely not as easy as it sounds, and you just have to stick with your plan. If you want to be healthier, focus on what you want and forget about pessimism.

There is this process called 'anchoring' to relate motivated feelings in releasing weight via diet and exercises. This method can be applied to many other circumstances wherein great motivation is required. This kind of motivation will be more attainable and realistic when you have anything tangible to look at to help you keep up with your goals. One example of this is, you could cut-out a photo of your favorite celebrity or (anybody that possesses the body you aspired) and simply paste your own photo in their faces instead. Hmmm...instant makeover, huh? Quite fanciful, yeah. But you have to admit, it will produce greater effects if motivation is maximized to a heightened level.

You can also find some fellow dieters (and befriend them along the way) for increased support and motivation to lose those unwanted excess pounds. Weight loss motivation could really be a big help in reaching your goal. Health reasons can be the best ways to come up with that weight loss motivation you want in order to attain your health to the optimum level. There are some methods which will keep that weight reduction going. There is really nothing wrong when you use the lure of money or fame or some other rewards to find your own weight loss motivation.

Remember, you have to invest dearly for something you really hoped for. And if that investment involves money in your weight loss regimen, then by all means go for it. Do not ever give up. Because if you do, you would never see those unsightly excess fats dropping off your body and you will not see the outcome of what you initially dreamed about. In the end, weight reduction motivation and inspiration starts in you. Find the styles that suit you best, and do not forget to reward your successes. Excess poundage can make one feel inferior or make life tough, and reducing weight is often one of the problems wherein self-esteem is concerned.

Being subjected to harsh and unfair criticisms and some obsession on being toned and fit just adds to the pressure of dieting and losing weight. Having extra body fat is a serious concern when one's health is already at stake. Serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart ailments are commonly associated excess body fat. So think about the benefits you will reap regarding wellness and good health. Many people overlook motivation when weight loss is involved. Motivation is different from desire. Start now with that exercise regimen. Achieve everything you've decided with vigor and excitement. If you begin now, tomorrow will be a next step forward to a new you.

Council Of Nicaea Conclusion

I'm an Average Girl, But Only If the 'A' Stands For Adventurous

Impressions. What an interesting concept. To think that others have an initial assumption of who I am when they meet me and that I have the same for them. I've often wondered what type of first impression I give to the people I meet. Quite frequently I encounter individuals who feel I am rather bold and I often hear, "I could never have started my own business." Or, "I'd never be able to backpack for the weekend or climb like you do." Others listen to my seemingly exciting tales and return the favor with a story of visiting Nepal or Thailand to climb the big stuff. Wow...I've never done that!

I don't talk about these experiences to make my choice in lifestyle seem exotic or unreachable. On the contrary, I have a confession to make. I often feel just average. Starting a business and climbing rocks are not activities that happened without fear, I promise you that. More often than not, I feel like a mouse, not a tiger. Isn't it funny then that to some of you my lifestyle seems fiercely adventurous, and to others it's just mediocre?

We all have our own style of living. I'd be willing to bet that we all feel full of courage sometimes and completely average other times. This is my story of finding the extraordinary in the well, ordinary. I hope it helps you to answer the question, "what's so special about me?"

At first sight, I'm your typical girl next door. I have average brown hair, average brown eyes and an average build. I'm of average age and stand at an unremarkable 5'4." When I was younger, my vacations were ordinary travel tales of beach hours logged. My friends and I got into typical trouble - nothing that would allow even a small gasp to escape from our elders. Until the age of 23, I'd never really done anything extraordinary in my life - at least not by my definition. I felt the potential inside of me though. I had a longing to experience new things and a serious interest in adventure.

So, I listened to that longing. I made "the list." Shifting perspective, I began to see the world differently - more from the eyes of the adventurous person I wanted to be and less from the passion-less homebody. I listed out 20-30 things I'd always wanted to do. Things like 'eat foreign food' and 'go skydiving.' I still reference that list to this day...and add to it!

My goal was to be more like the adventurous people that interested me. I desired a fearless lifestyle. I made the decision to start intentionally beginning new adventures. As my perception of the world changed, so did my interests, my hobbies and my behaviors. Each time I tiptoed into a new activity, my fear of the unknown bothered me less and less. I met more and more people going on even crazier adventures and began inviting a few novices to join me on my pursuits.

All of this helped me to grow into the person I am, but the added adventure doesn't mean that I don't struggle with feelings of worry, doubt, fear and being just average. See, the thing is, no matter what I push for, someone else is always ahead of me pushing even harder. I LOVE that. I always have something to reach for and someone to help guide my way.

How you feel about yourself is all in your perception. I guarantee that you witness people who seem to do more, give more and be more. I think it's safe to assume that people look at you with the same observation. This statement packs a big punch and is easy to skim over, so don't disregard it: always being the middle person leads to a very definitive feeling of being just average. What a great place to be! Don't let this feeling discourage you, just put it in perspective: this means that you are both striving for more and reaching back to help others who want to grow. Think of it as a team approach.

Remember that just as important as having mentors and teachers, it's also important to look at your contribution to the world. You've done extraordinary things in your life. Think about the people who come to you for advice, expertise or compassion. Reflect on some of the comments you've heard from those who look up to you.

You might be reading this thinking, 'I really haven't touched anyone and I can't think of someone who has said positive things about me,' or even 'it makes me uncomfortable to acknowledge myself for things I've done well.' In truth, there is always someone out there that has looked at you in a positive way before. How many times have you admired someone's fashion sense or response to a conversation in a meeting? Those are small moments of high regard. They happen all the time.

If you can't pinpoint when someone is acknowledging you, it's time to amplify those traits so that others can't help but point them out. Think of someone you respect. What traits do they have? What are some of the things they participate in that you've always wanted to do? You probably find it easy to understand why you aspire to be more like them right? They embody whatever it is that you appreciate about them. How can you begin to move toward that vision?

I'm not suggesting that you become an exact duplicate of this person, but rather, start playing in their world. Find your own world through the example of others. Tiptoe into those waters and see what feels right for you, then do more of it! Make a list. Start easy. Get to know your passions. Before long, you'll have plenty of people wanting to be a part of your experiences, wanting to show you new things and again you'll find yourself feeling a bit average...but in the most adventurous way!

Mental Fitness - Social Stress - Contributory Factors

In relation to mental health, it was estimated ten years ago in our country, that one in six people in the community suffered from anxiety, depression and other symptoms. Now in 2008 the proportion has risen to one in four.

Statistics also tell us that one in four will get cancer, one in four will suffer heart disease, and another one in four will suffer from kidney disease, leaving a small quarter of the population to contract and die from other complaints!

Faced with this, it is difficult for us to have an attitude other than that of real concern. We are all affected by a social climate where such information increases our disease awareness and strengthens the evidence that we are living in a very unhappy society under stress.

We would all like to avoid suffering. But it is the increase of mental diseases that causes us real pessimism about our own chances to avoid not only physical disease but the possibility that we may need psychotherapy and treatment for mental disorders.

We are wise to be cautious about this relatively uncharted field of healing. Although earlier, primitive methods have been replaced by chemical drugs, but this method that produces side effects, incurs the additional risk of addiction.

Through the press we hear of many serious health concerns in the community including the general lack of mental fitness. Our anxiety is intensified by hearing of all the disasters, violence and unnatural crimes committed in environments that are suffering mental pollution.

Our young people have an unfortunate example before them, of their potential future if they live expecting to suffer the same with a final loss of dignity should they lose their mental faculties or suffer mental disease in their last years.

There is a need to focus upon building health naturally. We need to eradicate the poisonous ingredients and pollutants in the environment. We need also to re-constitute our ideas and principles of our culture to exemplify a civilized way of life, else all of us are likely to be deprived of any joyful anticipation of a future as a happy, healthy and stress-free society where mental fitness is the norm.

Sally Janssen is an writer and educator who from an early age trained in Raja Yoga--that branch of the ancient science that deals with the mind and its complexities. She subsequently gained an international reputation for her skills and her wisdom in the training of the mind.

In her wonderfully readable book entitled Mental Fitness: The Complete Self-help Guide she presents simple, self-help practices that help to generate and maintain mental fitness just as the natural principles for physical fitness can be personally applied by us all.. Spiritual Enlightenment - Understanding Consciousness

You have probably already heard all of the Spiritual Enlightenment sayings like "Consciousness is all there is," And "Advaita means - not two."

And although all of these things are true, the words themselves filed away as knowledge, don't get you any closer to Spiritual Enlightenment.

So in this article, I am not only going to help you understand consciousness, I am going to give you the direct experience of consciousness, so that by the end of this article you will be able to experience a state of nondual consciousness which can lead to Spiritual Enlightenment.

Then all that is left for you to do is practice staying in this state of consciousness, or rather, practice stopping yourself from leaving your natural state. There is nothing complicated about it. Once you have the direct experience of consciousness then it is up to you to grow in nondual awareness through practice.

First, before we go any further, I would like you to forget everything you know about spiritual enlightenment, consciousness, nonduality, advaita and all other spiritual knowledge you have tucked away. Throw it all out because it is useless for what we are going to do.

You can have it all back after this article if you want it. But if you want spiritual enlightenment, you have to learn to experience this moment fresh and new, without relating it to what you know. Because it is what you know that stops you from experiencing pure consciousness.

And rather than getting into some intellectual advaita essay on spiritual enlightenment, let's get our feet wet and experience pure consciousness:

Right now, in this moment, take about 20 seconds, close your eyes, and notice your thinking. You are not to change your thinking or seek a certain thing out, you simply are to close your eyes and notice your thinking. Do this now.

On the surface, it seems that you cannot notice the process of thinking, because you are the one thinking the thought. The thought arises about what you had for lunch and suddenly you are re-living having lunch. There is no noticing happening.

So when you try and notice your thinking, thinking either stops, or you get involved with the thinking and there is no noticing.

On the surface, you could conclude from this observation that you are the thinker of your thoughts.

But in truth this is a false assumption. Look closer.

Close your eyes again and notice the thought arising. Start in a space of no thought and watch the thought arising.

Do this now.

If you practice this and really allow the thoughts to come and still remain noticing the thoughts, you will see that thoughts arise by themselves. You are not thinking the thought, the thought arose by itself. You were noticing no thought, a thought arose and you noticed it arise. Another thought arose, or many thoughts arising at once and you are noticing it happening.

You are not doing the thinking. The thinking is happening by itself.

This in itself is a state freedom. It is the beginning of Savikalpa Samadhi. It is when thoughts arise and you remain completely detached from any involvement with them- a state of witness consciousness.

What usually happens when you are not conscious is that the thought arises and instantly you identify with that thought. Instantly you claim "I thought that thought, it is my thought, it defines me." And then you make the thought important and are involved with it.

The thought arose, you took responsibility for it and you defined yourself by it. The thought is about you, your life, what you saw on TV, what you read, what you know, what you did. The thoughts are personal. You are identified with the thought. You think "I am sad" and sadness becomes your identity and it becomes your reality.

But once you learn to watch the thoughts, the thoughts become impersonal. They no longer define you or bind you. You are free from the involvement with them. They can arise and disappear and you remain as consciousness in a state of unconditional peace. Very blissful.

I do not expect you to see this immediately. But at some point in time if you do your best to try and notice your thinking, you will come to a point where thoughts arise and you realize "I did not pull that thought up myself, it arose by itself." You will have some thought come out of left field and it will become clear. "I did not just think of purple pigs, that thought came all by itself."

Sounds silly but this is a huge step towards spiritual enlightenment. Because suddenly you no longer define yourself by your thoughts. You see you exist completely free of the mind. Thoughts are arising all on their own without your involvement.

If you are interested in understanding consciousness, this is a very important point. Because if you see thoughts arise by themselves, then what are you? You definitely are not the thinker of the thoughts, but you were conscious of your thoughts. You were aware that thoughts were happening.

Try this now: Close your eyes and don't have any thought. Just for a second, don't have any thought. What is there?

Do this now.

So what is there? If there was no thought, your eyes were closed, you were just blank? But you were aware of the blank, yes? You were there, noticing that blank.

So you see the same conclusion comes from watching thoughts, or watching no thought. Whatever the situation, you were conscious of it.

And in fact if you really look, there is no you there being conscious, there is you as consciousness! Consciousness and the sense of "I am" are one and the same, they cannot be separated.'

To go one step further, you cannot separate, you, this moment and consciousness.

So forget understanding consciousness, you are consciousness!

Now it does no good to believe this, to file this away in your knowledge of spiritual enlightenment. You have to practice it. You have to in this moment and in every moment, remain as consciousness, here and now. To be aware of consciousness itself.

The only time you will feel you are not consciousness, is when you are identified with the happening, you are identified with the thoughts arising. You are personally involved in the thought.

You have to look closely here. Because consciousness has not stopped when you are involved with your thoughts but the action of identification with the thoughts distracted you from the essence that is always here, consciousness itself. Because if consciousness was not present, you could not remember, "I was identified with my thoughts and emotions."

And a side note here: It is not that you should not have thoughts or emotions. It is very important that you allow whatever is here to be here. Trying to control the thoughts and emotions will only lead to stress. So allow it all to come and go.

In this allowing, you are conscious of it. It does not mean you have to identify with it or become involved with it. You can watch it arise and disappear without ever holding on to anything.

It is not about some cold experience of advaita consciousness where you separate yourself from what is happening. It is allowing life to be as it is in this moment and being aware of it, and as you grow, being conscious of consciousness itself.

So whatever is here, allow it to be here and notice it. And be aware of the noticing. Because really if you look, you are not noticing it, noticing is happening. Just like thoughts are happening or not happening.

You can remove the thoughts, you can remove the emotions, you can even lose identification with the body, but the noticing cannot be removed. You can see whether there is thought or no thought, you still exist. Consciousness always remains. Resting in this state of pure consciousness will lead you all the way to spiritual enlightenment.

Plea to Diehard Catholics & Protestants to Repent

Having clearly seen how practicing homosexuality is a sin, I can now see clearly how SPIRITUAL HOMOSEXUALS, the bloody Roman Catholic whore and her Protestant prostitute daughters (Rev. 17:5), prefer their perverted and idolatrous, manmade doctrines, over the Word of God and his holy commandments (Mark 7:7).

All those who refuse to FORSAKE BABYLON are proud and stubborn and many will die in their sins, suffering the seven last plagues, as is just (Rev. 18:4-5).

Why are some in love with Roman wolves in sheep's clothing, whom both the Bible and history testify against as whitewashed paganism, counterfeit Christianity? May we all learn to love the Lord God of the Bible, the King of all Creation, and learn to hate that which He hates: the ABOMINATION OF THE RCC.

May we not resist this Light to return to traditional darkness (John 3:19-21), or we'll fall for the pope's tricks when he bewitches the masses with his sorcery and fights against true Christians - again! (2 Thess. 2:9-12). Don't let yourself be given over to a reprobate mind. Let Christ renew your mind and wash it by the water of the Word that can cleanse you of all the unclean doctrines and pagan practices of the unholy RCC, so help us God (2 Cor. 6:17).

For life-saving information on how to identify the true Church of God today mentioned in the holy Scriptures, revealed as following the example of Jesus and the early Church with their biblical practices (1 John 2:6), feel free to check out The Church Jesus Built and let the truth set you free!

Lessons for Life: How to be Humble

Lessons for Life: How to be Humble

Our culture says that humility is a virtue.

However, we often fail to apply the concept in our own lives.

Some of us look for aggressiveness in our children. We think that it will help them to succeed in life. It also will make you proud when your son scores a touchdown or makes the All State debate team.

But have you noticed that some of the greatest athletes are humble, that some of the greatest intellects are humble, and that some of the greatest leaders are humble?

What! Your culture doesnt say that humility is a virtue?

Try this if you are Jewish or Christian:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr. 7:14

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. Prov. 16: 19

And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
Isa. 5: 15

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 18: 4

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matt. 23: 12

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4: 10

Here is one from the Koran:

Surely (as to) those who believe and do good and humble themselves to their Lord, these are the dwellers of the garden, in it they will abide. The Holy Prophet 11.23

Go to http://www.unification.net/ws/theme128.htm to study what the worlds religions say about humility and being humble.

Here is a Native American tradition:

The Lamenter [who is seeking a vision] cries, for he is humbling himself,
remembering his nothingness in the presence of the Great Spirit.
Native American Religions. Black Elk, Sioux Tradition

Here is a Mormon scripture:

Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers. D&C 112:10

There is something about being a benevolent and humble person that exceeds the expectations of the angry core of our crocodilian being. We have that great urge to survive, to remove or run from threats, to grab food wherever we can find it, to reproduce, to fight when bored, to grovel in our minds.

When we find a humble person eager to share what he or she has, we are surprised and then pleased.

Why do I combine benevolence with humility? Because they go hand-in-hand dont they? A humble person gives his or her soul to God and serves others not expecting any earthly reward.

Here is an opinion that Ive had for many years: The most effective leaders and the best leaders are benevolent. This applies to religious leaders, of course, but it equally applies to business executives.

Does being humble drop your self esteem?

I dont think so. It simply places you in the scheme of things now and in the hereafter. You no longer have to think of yourself being the brightest, cleverest, strongest, best looking person in the world.

If you are rich it will diminish the fact and you will become more benevolent. You will seek wisdom more than riches and you will govern your affairs with dignity and honor.

A humble person can take bad luck much better than a person less humble.

I have noticed over the years that people from poor straights can take a loss better than a more wealthy person or a person of higher social status. They expect bad luck and they can cope with it.

Humility is the beginning of knowledge.

If you say that you know nothing about the fauna of Egypt but would like to know about it, you are on your way to gaining knowledge. You will feed your mind and you will be grateful for that knowledge and you will seek more knowledge.

If you say that you know nothing about a subject and you have no desire to learn more because you are afraid that you might not understand the knowledge you receive, you will be miserable if you dont even try to gain such knowledge. You are suffering from low esteem not humility. A humble person says that one will do the best one can to learn.

A humble person will do what he can to serve others.

A humble person will search for wisdom.

A humble person will be grateful for all he receives.

A humble person will recognize that he knows little but can learn much more.

A humble person will not be aggressive to others.

A humble person will take care of his family and give them support in all that they do.

A humble person will love God and recognize that God will lead him to truth and knowledge.

Meditation - Desire For Perfection of Wisdom

The purpose of meditation is to realize our own spiritual nature, on the way to this path we may find several stages of enlightenment of our true nature; these can be better health sharper mental focus and extra sensory perceptions. Meditation makes us realize we are beyond accepted knowledge. It makes us silently realize of true nature of existence, and that we are not separate from the essence of time and space of this beautiful and vast universe we call our existence. All the meditation teachings from all parts of the world will agree that we are spiritual in our nature, and regardless of religious beliefs anyone and everyone can benefit from true meditation.

Most people will agree that, without realizing our own spiritual nature, we are subject to suffering and confusion and trapped in illusion and dream of separateness. In our illusion we believe the material world to be the only reality. As Albert Einstein said "On such things as matter we have all been wrong, what we have called matter is energy, whose vibrations has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter."

Meditation in essence gives us a path way, which can cut through this illusion, meditation awakens the fact that each of us is the person who is in charge of our spiritual destination, sailing in spiritual skies to come to real understanding, of our hearts dockland. It would be useful to summon the spirit of patience when attaining understanding of true meditation. With patience even the mulberry leaves turn to silk. And fortunately with desire for perfection of wisdom, we can cultivate our spiritual nature through meditation. As real meditation taps straight through to the big boss, for this reason, does not require no priest or guru or any go between. Once perfected, then we realize that we only have simply just scratched the surface. As perfection of wisdom is a continuing process.

What we do within our hearts will also have impact on our environment, as we grow in understanding of our spirituality; we can then feel more compassion to others whose on the same path of spiritual wisdom and most importantly to nature itself and all that share the same planet called earth. It matters not how much wisdom one obtains through learning, because in ultimate nature of wisdom, we will always be like a baby sleeping in its cradle called; life.
Being a spiritual guru is not the goal of meditation, for whoever feels that they are superior to others, then they only confuse themselves.

Self understanding is the goal, rather, understanding becomes the sacred treasures of spiritual meditation. The world within our hearts holds secrets, also many reasons and understanding, that is why it is said; "man know thyself."

Achieving Goals in a Recession

The problem with believing you're in a recession is that you start to believe that you cannot achieve your goals. Recession - or any of the negative words that are associated with it - is in fact in the mind of the beholder.

You don't need to be an economist to see that things are not all black. In fact things are never all black, any more than they are ever all white. Stop and reflect for a moment on some of the industries and people that will thrive in a recession. Here are just a few off the top of my head:

The car repair industry. Since fewer people are going to buy new cars for a while, keeping the old ones on the road now becomes paramount. Mechanics and second hand car sales people are probably going to exceed their business goals in the coming months!

How about the cheaper end of the beauty and glamour industries? Everyone wants to feel good, and a new hair-do doesn't cost a lot. If you like wearing make-up, a new lipstick or nail polish can lift the spirits in a jiffy for the price of a cup of coffee or thereabouts. If your goal is for a quick pick-me-up, there's one way to achieve it, whilst helping the beautician, hairdresser or cosmetics salesperson to keep their job!

Rental things - especially real estate - will flourish, won't it? How about home entertainment? Cheaper than a night on the town! The whole family can rent a blockbuster DVD when it would have cost four seats at the movies not to mention outrageously priced popcorn! Goal achieved? Keeping the family spirits up.

Network marketing companies always do well in a recession as people search around frantically for ways to make money in their spare time.

Now, I didn't set out to write a list and I'm not an economist. (Thank heavens for that - they hardly can take credit for keeping us out of trouble, can they?) The reason I wanted to point these observations out to you is not because I want you to change your job - I want you to change your mind! Personal and professional goals are just as achievable in the present climate as they are at other times. You simply have to apply your adaptability skills - a resource with which you have been equipped since birth.

If you want to achieve goals you've got to believe there's a way. You have to know in your heart that you can do it and that the odds are not stacked against you. If your goal is to climb Everest, you have to believe you can get there or there's no sense in taking a single step up that mountain.

When people are down, more than ever they need people who are up. Why were musicals so popular during the depression of the 1920s and through the war years? Because they made people feel good, that's why.

If you want to achieve more goals, smile at more people. Be optimistic - life will go on, and rollercoasters are for riding - so point out to yourself and to the frightened people you meet that they have almost certainly already survived many of life's challenges. You have the resources and so do they to achieve whatever goals they set themselves.

You cannot achieve your goals by joining people in their fear. No one is helped or served by that. Think outside the box, remember at all times that you are your own greatest resource and you will be not only inspired but you will become an inspiration.

Do You Believe in the Bible - Religion

Do you really believe in the Bible? The other day I was listening to an audio book on the Dead Sea Scrolls. The author had a Ph.D. and of course I have no idea what the Ph.D. was in, it didn't say on the audio book cover. He made the statement below and it got me thinking about our beliefs and what we believe in.

"For those who want proof positive that the Bible is true, there's really only one thing to say for those who disbelieve no proof is possible for those who believe no proof is necessary."

The statement is coming from an educated person and it kind of sounds like an oxymoron. For those who want proof positive that the Bible is true, there is really only one thing to say, for those who disbelieve no proof is possible. What does that mean to a Christian and this same statement applies to most religions throughout the world. If you want proof positive, there really isn't any is there.

Researchers can prove certain parts of the Bible like, people's names and that some of these people were actually alive and have some history to them, geographical locations like cities, rivers and oceans, and some beneficial facts to religious believers. I don't want to single just the Bible out here, other religious text can't be proven, proof positive.

There are a lot of sections in the Bible that quite possibly could never be proven. Unless of course God or some sort of superior being with superior knowledge could give us positive proof that the Bible was true. This of course would eliminate the need for faith and faith is pretty much the most important part of believing in most religions.

Let's take the last part of the statement, "for those who believe no proof is necessary". Where do we draw the line between belief and facts, where do we draw a line between faith and truth. What is it going to take to get religious believers to start doing some research on their religious beliefs, instead of following with only faith. You should question your religion.

If you're going to believe in something like the Bible, you have no right to question someone else's beliefs and their religion. The next time a Christian judges a Muslim or Hindu about their beliefs, start thinking about yours a little more clearly, before you pass judgment on someone else who is living their life based on faith.

Applying the techniques, strategies and suggestions added in these two fascinating books makes all the difference between getting by, and getting what you want faster.

The first one was an audio that going through iTunes store definitely catch my eyes immediately as it was in the top 3 of the best sellers there. Better yet it has glorious feedback on Amazon. When it comes to marketing, the majority of us are more than ok and even great when we intend to do the job we are supposed, which is to sell.

But among the list of audio books that should be of great interest to you since there is always more time to improve is a book or an audio book called Getting Things Done by David Allen. The majority of the time when we already know what to do, it is all about doing the work or improving it even more. The audio version of Getting Things Done is excellent as it helps systemize your work by showing you examples of how to prioritize and goes deep into the psychological bolts of why we sometimes do not achieve things faster.

Spiritual Economics

A very wise consultant to the health care industry shared with me a conversation he had with a hospital board of directors facing bankruptcy: "What do you think caused the financial difficulties of the hospital?" he asked. "The labor unions wanting too much, the doctors demands, and the patients who can't pay their bills."

"No," said the forthright consultant, "the cause of this difficulty is your greed, selfishness and disregard for the needs of your community."

How could that be true? These were all well-educated, well-respected citizens of their community who saw themselves as charitable and responsible. Yet true it was. And one-by-one, they opened their eyes to how they had ignored the clear needs signaled from the community, remained adversarial in talks with doctors and support staff, ignored the need to invest in new systems, equipment and procedures. All these decisions and behavior were justified at the time they were made by the self-interested, culturally approved "need" to hold on to profits.

In the face of the current economic crisis, unstable stock market, businesses like the auto industry facing bankruptcy, and the financial challenges of individuals, the cry that emerges from the news media is "what are we going to do about this?" "Who is to blame?" and "What will president-elect Obama do to save our economy?"

Just as the above hospital board of directors facing bankruptcy of their organization, the country is desperate for a quick fix, for a 'to do' solution, for a hero to reveal a formula that will distribute over a trillion dollars to the right places.

Money is viewed as the source of and solution to our problems. Yet, perhaps the problem is thinking that money is the solution to our problems.

The view that money is both the source and solution to our problems has brought the nation to a no-win situation: We need money to solve our problem of lack of money, but taking money from ourselves will continue the problem of lack of money.

All attention seems focused on money - where is it, who has it, who spent it, who needs it, how can we get it to those who need it, and those who will spend it wisely?

There are many concerns being voiced about the "Big-Money Rescue" solutions being promoted such as:

-limiting entrepreneurs from the "reward" of money by 'spreading the wealth around' through high taxes will de-incentivize the business people who generate the wealth of this country

-"rescuing" those who squandered the money under their responsibility by giving them more is not intelligent

-renegotiating with those who have bought what they cannot afford will encourage more irresponsible spending

All of these concerns are legitimate, and all see the economy as based on the generation, accumulation and distribution of money.

The truth is that any use of money will result in some good and some bad, depending on the clarity, motivation and honesty of those given the responsibility to spend it, which is everyone, as everyone uses money.

The view that The Economy=Money promotes a climate of greed, which is what the economy is acutely suffering from now. When money is seen as the source and goal of business (and thus, of life), then business people focus on making money for themselves, their stockholders, and their businesses. In this climate inventiveness and ideas are channeled toward making money and the more the better. Certainly some good, useful and creative ideas have been generated from this climate, but the 'side-effect' is greed and corruption. Anything to 'make money' becomes justified, and acceptable. Just as in medicine, sometimes the "side-effect" can be more deadly than the disease.

What is the purpose of business?

The purpose of business is not to make money, nor to lose money.

The purpose of business is to see a real need and fill it with a reliable product or service through an efficient organization. The result of good business is prosperity for all. Those who run the business, produce the product or service, and those who purchase the product/service. There need be no limit on wealth for those stewarding a useful, efficient business. Everyone benefits. Individuals, communities, nations and the global community are joined in the endeavor to meet real needs and prosper, individually and collectively. This is economy based on the idea that what is truly good for one is good for all. This idea is one that cannot be legislated, regulated or manipulated. It is an idea that when understood by an individual/entrepreneur/businessperson, guides and inspires their activities. Any individual living this principle will be trustworthy, and the needs of their business will be met.

This is the heart of the American Dream. The opportunity to see a real need, develop an organization to serve the need and benefit from the prosperity that is generated for all.

This points to individual motivation as the source of our problems and the source of our solutions. A trillion dollars can be thrown into the system, and where personal gain and greed is the underlying motivation, the economy will continue to suffer. On the other hand, prosperity will spread where there is motivation based on good will.

The challenge then is not what "to do," but rather to understand and face the real problem and cultivate an economy of prosperity based on solid, time-tested principles of good business and good living. Afterall, it is not individuals who can be blamed for being influenced by the climate of greed, yet it is individuals who can see the problem and participate in the solution.

This is called Spiritual Economics as it is based on what cannot be legislated, manipulated, regulated or contracted. It is based on something non-material, yet something that we have the capacity to recognize when we see it. The truth of it is undeniable. It may be argued that it's idealistic - that most of business-as-usual is greedy and that's just the way it is. But if we accept that as truth, we are doomed to continue a downward spiral of constant gain and loss, and continuous struggle between those who have and those who have not.

There are numerous examples of entrepreneurs, scientists, inventors, educators, legislators, who have seen real needs, responded with an idea, product or service and prospered. Those who have prospered from knowing this truth are not primarily motivated by money. They are motivated by good ideas, efficient systems and personal excellence. This is spiritual economics as it is based on something intangible yet substantial, imperceptible yet knowable, unseen yet recognizable.

These same individuals who accumulated great wealth from implementing good ideas plow their wealth back into the community through charitable and altruistic visions. This is the continuation of valuing good ideas, efficient systems and personal excellence.

The good news is that to get the economy back on the right track does not require us to wait for the "trickle down" when someone figures out what to do and does it. It is something we all can be attentive to right now.

When frightened about financial issues wake-up! It's not money that is the source of intelligence and creativity. And, it's not fear that will generate good ideas. It's the God-given gift of open-mindedness and receptivity that allow good, new ideas to flow right to the challenging situation of the moment. This is priceless.
